New Year: Goals & Intentions

The start of a new year always invites reflection. It's the perfect time to pause and ask yourself how well you met your goals the past year and how you want your life to feel different in the following year.

My intention for this year is simple. I want to to create a life that feels calm and peaceful, full of real joy, and overflowing with love — in my friendships, my relationships, and within my family. And instead of setting rigid resolutions, I’m focusing on intentions that guide my daily choices. Small habits that add up to a life that feels good from the inside out.

A Joyful Life

Joy doesn’t always look like big moments. More often, it’s found in the everyday.

A warm cup of coffee in the morning.
A walk outside with fresh air and sunshine.
Music playing while dinner cooks.
Taking time to do hobbies you loved as a child.

This year, I want to notice those moments more — and create them on purpose. Instead of waiting for happiness to arrive someday, I’m choosing to romanticize the life I’m already living. To appreciate where my life is abundant right now, even as I continue growing.

Prioritizing Love & Connection

One of my biggest intentions this year is to pour into my relationships.

Love doesn’t thrive in constant busyness. It grows when we slow down enough to be fully there. This year, I’m choosing quality time over packed schedules and presence over productivity.

Prioritizing Daily Movement & Healthy Habits

Daily movement is a non-negotiable, but it doesn’t have to be intense. Walking, Pilates, yoga, stretching — movement that feels supportive rather than punishing. Some days this looks like a long walk, other days a short flow. Both count.

I want to continue fueling myself with nutritious meals that feel good and taste good. Not restrictive. Just what supports my body best.

This naturally ties into one of my favorite intentions this year…

Cooking More

This year, I want to:

  • Cook more meals at home

  • Try new recipes without pressure

  • Invest in simple kitchen tools that make cooking easier

  • Create meals that feel both comforting and nourishing

Cooking doesn’t have to be complicated — it can be intuitive, cozy, and enjoyable.

Letting This Year Unfold Naturally

If you’re setting intentions this year, I hope you give yourself permission to choose softness, sustainability, and joy — whatever that looks like for you.
